A simple guide to making friendship bracelets out of embroidery floss.

Just in case you’re new to making friendship bracelets, it is best to use embroidery floss for this project. It is easy to tie, lightweight and comfortable on the wrist. You can buy it at your local craft store (I recommend Michaels) or online from Amazon. This type of string comes in many colors and patterns so you can match your bracelet to any outfit!

This can be a very satisfying hobby, and I’ll show you the best methods for making them.

Making friendship bracelets is a great hobby. You can learn how to do it in a few minutes, and there’s no expensive equipment required. You can easily spend time with friends or family making these bracelets together, which will strengthen your bond with them.

You’ll also find that the actual process of making the bracelets isn’t difficult at all, but it is satisfying. It’s definitely more fun than simply buying one at a store!

Finally, these bracelets make great gifts for friends and family members alike. Not only are they inexpensive (you’ll only need some thread and beads), but they can be customized to suit any person who receives one as well—which means they’re always going to appreciate receiving something handmade by you! If you want even more options when giving someone a gift like this one day then check out our blog post about how to sell handmade crafts online here https://www

First, you need to get some embroidery floss. Look for packs that come with many colors. The best place to buy them is an arts and crafts store. Avoid buying from places that specialize in sewing materials because they usually only carry the most basic colors, so the selection will be limited (you want a lot of options!) and cost more per yard than if you buy at an arts and crafts store.

If you’re shopping online, make sure the seller has good reviews on Etsy or Amazon before you buy! Look for sellers who have had 100% positive feedback over many years of selling their product as well as many positive reviews under each listing (especially when it comes down to price).

You’ll also need something to put your bracelet on while you’re working on it. I use a cut-down cardboard tube or a metal ring with a keychain on it so I can carry it with me and work when I’m waiting in lines etc.

You could also use a clothespin, hair clip, or binder clip (if you have one).

To make the knots in the bracelet, you’ll have to separate out the string into however many pieces you want in the design. For example, if you want strips of color running through the bracelet, then split them into as many pieces as there are colors.

For example: If I want a pattern that looks like this

I need 3 strings of string that are all different colored yarns (orange, green and blue). I would then take each of those 3 strings and divide them into smaller pieces (with some being longer than others) so that when braided together they look like this:

When I begin braiding my bracelets and necklaces with these smaller pieces of yarns, I continue separating them by color until they’re long enough to reach all around my wrist or neck!

You can learn different patterns by researching online or watching YouTube videos. I’ll show you the most basic pattern here, the Forward Knot.

The Forward Knot is a basic friendship bracelet pattern. It’s simple and easy to complete, and if you’re just starting out with making friendship bracelets, it’s great for getting your feet wet. The forward knot is also used as the basis for many of the more complicated patterns discussed later on in this blog post.

The Forward Knot can be made with any number of threads, but four or five are recommended for beginners (I’d recommend starting with four). For this tutorial I’ll be using 4 threads: 2 light blue and 2 dark blue as pictured above.

Start by taking one of your strands (in my case one light blue) and looping it around two fingers so that it forms a circle (or “O”). Tighten this loop until it’s snug enough that when you let go of your fingers, there’s some tension pulling the strand tight against itself.

Next take another strand (in my case one dark blue) and pass it under both overhand knots at once so that its end comes out on top near where yours came out before going through again under both strands at once until its end comes out on top near where yours came out before going through again under both strands at once until its end comes out between where yours ended up being after passing through twice already; repeat these steps three more times so you have five sections total (4 overhand knots plus 1 section between them). Now tie off all 5 sections together by making an overhand knot with all 5 strands then trimming off excess thread ends using sharp scissors!

To make this knot, lay two strands parallel to each other and cross the left over the right and then put it underneath and through the loop between them to make a knot. The left strand goes over the right strand again and pulls up through another loop and tightens up against the knot before.

This pattern is called a Forward Knot because you are moving forward when you do it – once you get it going, that is!
