The process of creating a beautiful beaded necklace can be a great way to relax and unwind at the end of a stressful day. It’s also an excellent way to get your creative juices flowing!

As you work on your project, don’t forget to breathe in deeply and exhale slowly as you focus on each step. You’ll want to keep your mind clear as you work through this craft, as it will help you create something beautiful—and it will also help prevent mistakes from happening along the way!

A long-hanging, tassel-style bead necklace with a gold-and-gemstone colour palette is perfect for an evening out.

A long-hanging, tassel-style bead necklace with a gold-and-gemstone colour palette is perfect for an evening out. The beads are made with wooden spacer beads and Czech glass seed beads in gold, silver and metallic options. It also has glass bicones at the bottom to give it a little extra something.

The pattern is easy to execute, even for beginners.

But don’t let the simplicity fool you. This is a project that can be executed even by beginners, and it won’t take long to complete. In fact, if you look down at your watch and realize that it’s 3:30 pm on Friday afternoon and you still have another three to four hours of work left for the week… well, what better way to spend those hours than doing something fun?

All you’ll need are some beads, wire and pliers!

  • Beads
  • Wire (the thinner the better)
  • Pliers and needle nose pliers

You can get all of these supplies at your local bead shop. If you don’t know where an arts and crafts store is in your area, ask around at local hobby shops or home improvement stores. You can also check out our list of online stores that sell beading supplies. Once you have your materials, make sure to store them properly so they last longer!

How to get started

How to get started

Step 1: Cut the wire. You will need a piece of wire that is equal to your desired necklace length, plus an additional 12 inches (30 cm) for making the clasp. For example, if you want a 16-inch (40 cm) necklace, cut a 20-inch (50 cm) piece of wire.

Step 2: String the beads onto the wire using two hands at once—one hand holding each end—and alternating between right and left sides as you go along. When finished adding beads, hold both ends together with your other hand and gently bend into a circle shape using pliers or simply by wrapping them around your finger until they fit snugly against one another without gaps or overlapping edges. The closer together they are when bent into a circle, the more secure it will be later when connecting them with jump rings! If any part looks loose or uneven after bending it into shape let me know so I can fix this issue before going forward 🙂

You’re almost done now! All that’s left is connecting both ends back up again using small clasps/jump rings but don’ worry because we’ll teach how later on down in this article 🙂

The best part is that you can make these necklaces in a variety of colours and patterns.
