With This Simple Trick You Can Measure Your Wrist Size To Ensure A Perfect Fit

The best way to do this is with a cloth measuring tape.

The best way to do this is with a cloth measuring tape. They are simple, accurate and available at most local stores. With the tape measure, wrap it around your wrist just above where you want the bracelet to sit on your wrist (the top of your hand). It should be snug but not tight or uncomfortable.

Start with the tape on the wrist bone, where you would normally wear the bracelet.

Start with the tape on the wrist bone, where you would normally wear the bracelet.

Make sure that it is tight enough so that it can’t slide off your hand, but not too tight that it hurts. If you have trouble getting an exact measurement, use a small piece of paper to mark where to put your finger when measuring and then measure from there.

Wrap it around your wrist once.

Now, wrap the tape around your wrist once. If you don’t have a cloth measuring tape, use a piece of string and measure that with a ruler.

If you’re measuring the wrist of someone else, make sure they stand still while you do it!

Check the measurement at the point where the measuring tape overlaps itself and measure in inches.

Once you have the end of the tape at your wrist, check where it overlaps itself. That’s going to be your measurement in inches.

If you don’t have a cloth measuring tape, try using a piece of string or a strip of paper. If that’s too hard, try holding one finger against your wrist and then measuring from there to wherever else on your hand makes it feel like it’s touching both fingers at once. This will give you the length of your wrist

Add half an inch to that measurement.

The final step to finding the right size bracelet is to add half an inch to your wrist measurement. This leaves some room for the bracelet to fit over your hand, especially if you have big knuckles, like I do!

It’s always best to start with a slightly larger size than what you think you need because it’s easier to remove links than add them back on. If you have no idea how many links are in a given bracelet and don’t have time to search YouTube or Google for instructions (yikes!), I recommend heading into a jewelry store and having someone there measure it for you so that they can also offer specific advice on removing links and making sure they stay securely fastened while being worn.

Use this equation to ensure that your bracelet is a perfect fit.

If you’re wondering how to measure your wrist size, use this equation:

Wrist Size = (inner circumference) – (0.5 inch) + 1/8 inch

Let’s say you have a 7 inch inner circumference and want to know what size bracelet you should get. You’ll need to subtract 0.5 inches from 7, then add an additional 1/8 inch for good measure. That gives us:

7 – .5 + 1/8 = 6 5/8 inches rounded up to 6 5/16 inches as our final measurement. We can now use our handy table above as a reference point!
