A scary costume.
If you’re looking to scare up a good time this Halloween, consider going with a horror-themed costume. The popularity of horror movies has skyrocketed in recent years and is expected to continue into the new year.
In 2016 alone, there were over 800 horror films released worldwide, including “The Conjuring 2” and “Hush.” It’s no surprise that zombies are the most popular kind of scary costumes for Halloween—zombies embody everything people love about horror movies: blood, guts and gore! They also reflect our fears about a world where everything’s gone wrong (and even worse).
A sports costume.
If you’re looking to wear a sports costume this Halloween, there are plenty of options. For example, if you’re a baseball fan, one of the most popular choices is to dress up as your favorite player. This could be anything from Babe Ruth to Derek Jeter or even Miguel Cabrera—or any other star player from any team!
Here are some other ideas for sports costumes:
- Team colors: If you want to go all out on this one and really get into the spirit of being a fan, try wearing your team’s official colors for your costume. You could also choose just one color and incorporate it into the design of your outfit in different ways (e.g., adding an accent color like yellow stripes on an all-blue uniform). That way people will know which sport they’re seeing!
- Team logo: Another option is choosing a specific logo instead of just wearing general team colors; however, this might not work if there aren’t very many logos available (e.g., with teams like Geelong Cats who only have one cat logo). If that’s what happens then don’t worry because there are still plenty more options available such as making yourself look like an actual mascot instead – after all panda bears need cheering up too!
A family costume.
Family costumes are a great way to celebrate the season. They can be fun for the whole family to create and wear, and they’re sure to get some laughs from your friends when you go trick or treating.
If you’re looking for a family costume that’s easy on your wallet while still being impressive, try going with one of these ideas:
- A classic Halloween look. Pick a character from a popular movie or TV show! Perhaps everyone dresses up as characters from The Nightmare Before Christmas? Or maybe you could choose something more unique like Rocky Horror Picture Show’s Dr Frank-N-Furter, Brad Majors and Janet Weiss who go on an adventure with Riff Raff. There are so many possibilities here! Just make sure everyone gets in on the fun!
- A thematic group costume. If you aren’t into dressing up as one specific thing, there are other options available too! For example: all members dress up as different animals but have similar colors/styles; everyone wears black clothes with white masks; everyone has their hair color dyed red (think zombies).
I do not plan on dressing up this year.
You should definitely go out and spend some time with your friends this Halloween. It’s a great opportunity to get together, eat candy, and laugh about how you all dressed up like the same thing last year. Some people are not into dressing up or going out on Halloween night (or ever), but even if that’s you—you could still have an amazing time with your friends. You can start by inviting them over for a viewing party! Set out some snacks and beverages in front of the TV and invite everyone over to watch the parade of costumes on TV while eating popcorn and drinking beer. It’ll be fun to see what everyone else is wearing, right? And if no one else wants to go out drinking tonight either because they’re having too good of a time at home watching parades on television with their favorite person (that would be you) then why not use this time as an opportunity to come up with ideas for next year? You could even kick off next season early by setting aside some money from now until then so that when it comes around again next year, all these awesome ideas will already be funded!
Dressing up for Halloween is a fun way to play with identity and humor, but can also depend on your personality.
When it comes to Halloween, it’s easy to get caught up in the fun of dressing up. People can be as creative, lighthearted or scary as they want. And if you’re too busy to put together a costume yourself? You can always buy a ready-made one!
The whole point of Halloween is having fun and showing off your creativity. So whether you want to dress up like your favorite superhero or go the extra mile with an elaborate makeup job (or maybe even both), there are plenty of ways for you get into character this year.
