Good Luck Charms #2
This is a good luck charm that I found in my grandmother’s old jewelry box. She had passed away three years ago, but her memory and spirit live on in me every day.
Before she died, I used to visit her often and talk about my life and what was going on at school. She always gave me advice and made sure that even when things weren’t going my way, there was still something positive about them to focus on so that I could thrive. It made sense for me to look through her jewelry box after she passed away because it helped me remember everything she taught me throughout the years of our friendship—and then some!
I found this bracelet when I opened the box for the first time since she had passed away seven months prior; it felt like an extension of her presence because it had been hers for so long before passing into mine as well (what could be more sentimental than passing down good luck charms from generation-to-generation?). This bracelet was given to her by someone special during WWII; they were both soldiers fighting against Hitler’s army in Germany during their final days there once they’d realized how bad things were getting under his rule over Europe (you can imagine how scared everyone got). So now whenever something bad happens (like losing money), instead of focusing solely on how crappy things are right now–I remind myself “at least I’m not being killed by Nazis!” That helps keep perspective while also reminding myself how lucky we all are today compared with what people went through back then–which isn’t saying much but still puts everything into perspective!
Good Luck Charms #3
I’ve found that the best luck charms are those that you can hold in your hand. That way, you can use them as a physical reminder to pull out whenever you need a bit of extra luck.
Here are the three best lucky charms I use:
- A rabbit’s foot—I keep this attached to my key chain, which means I always have it on me and am reminded of good fortune every time I unlock my door or car! (This is why it’s important to have an easily accessible key chain.)
- A horseshoe—I keep this above my front door for when visitors come over and want to bring some good luck into their lives too! It also looks nice as decoration if nothing else!
- A lucky penny—This little guy has been in my wallet since high school and he brings me good fortune every day without fail!
These are the best luck charms that work for me.
There are many types of luck. For example, good luck with money is called “fortuna” (from the Latin word) while bad luck with money is called “infortuna”. Similarly, there are many forms of good and bad fortune that come in life. The best luck charms should be specific to your needs and beliefs. You also have to believe in them to get them to work for you!
The best luck charms that I know have worked well for me include:
- A small brown leather pouch filled with dried sage leaves – this helps keep bugs away from my home while it smells nice at the same time
- A beautiful silver bracelet on my left wrist made of five different kinds of stones that match my birthstone color – this gives me confidence when I’m nervous about something new like meeting new people or doing an important presentation at work
- A white feather which I pick up every time I see one lying around – this reminds me how lucky we all are just by being alive
