What are the five elements

The five elements are wood, fire, earth, metal and water. In Chinese philosophy they’re used to describe how energy moves through the universe. Each element is associated with a color, a season, and an emotion. These are:

  • Wood (Spring): Green/Yellow—joyful
  • Fire (Summer): Red—excited
  • Earth (Fall): Brown/Orange—calm and generous
  • Metal (Winter): White/Silver—focused on achieving goals or accomplishing tasks

The 5 elements and Feng Shui

Feng Shui is the art of creating harmony and balance using the five elements. The five elements are Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water. Each element is associated with different aspects of life:

  • Wood represents growth, expansion and creation
  • Fire represents passion, energy and warmth
  • Earth represents security and wealth (or lack thereof)
  • Metal represents structure and organization in your life as well as a healthy immune system (think about zinc supplementation for colds/flu)
  • Water represents money flow – if there are leaks in your plumbing system somewhere then chances are good that you’re going to have trouble paying bills on time or keeping up with other expenses like rent or mortgage payments

Colors and Jewelry

In this section, we will be looking at the use of color and jewelry as a way to enhance your personal energy and set yourself up for success in life.

The Five Elements are gold, wood, water, fire and earth. The colors associated with these five elements are gold or yellow; green or blue-green; red; white or silver; black or brown. Each element has its own characteristics that can help us understand ourselves better if we pay attention to them. Here’s how they work:

Gold/Yellow – an earth element that represents growth and expansion

Green/Blue-green – an air element that represents communication

Red – a fire element that represents passion

White/Silver – an metal element that represents knowledge/wisdom

Black/Brown – an water element representing emotion

How to wear your jewelry according to your elemental makeup.

Let’s say you’ve done your research, and you know that you are an earth element. Great! But what if your jewelry has a different elemental makeup than what you think? What if it’s an air or water energy (which can both be beneficial to an earth person), or worse yet, fire or metal? It may not be as bad as all that—but keep in mind that when it comes to feng shui, the closer things are to their natural state, the better. So if there is any question about whether your piece of jewelry is correct for you and your space, it’s best to go with something else.

How do I find out my elemental makeup?

Easy! There are many ways of doing this but one of my favorite ways is by looking at the year during which I was born. For example: If I were born in 1984 then according to Chinese astrology my element would be Earth (and yes I did do this myself). If however instead we look back at our birth month and day then according to Western astrology we might find ourselves falling under Air instead—so make sure not only do we know our birth month but also whether we were born during the daylight hours or evening hours so that way no miscommunications happen!

Conclusion

Jewelry is an easy way to bring your internal state into harmony with the natural world. By choosing jewelry based on your elemental makeup, you can use it to balance yourself, so that you are more in tune with the elements around you. If this sounds like something that interests you and would benefit your life, try making a few changes in your jewelry choices and see how it feels.

Using color and jewelry to enhance your personal energy can set you up for success in all areas of life.

Using color and jewelry to enhance your personal energy can set you up for success in all areas of life. Color and jewelry can help balance your personal energy, but it’s important to choose colors and jewelry based on the element that best represents you.

The most important thing to remember when choosing elements is that they should reflect who you are as a person. If you’re more outgoing or quiet then it would be better to wear one of the two colors associated with those personality traits (yellow or white). For example, if someone is more introverted then they should try wearing black since black absorbs all colors except red (the color associated with introversion).

If none of these options appeal then consider using crystals instead! Crystals come in every color so just pick whichever one feels right! You’ll find this helpful article great place start researching different types: https://www.fengshuiweblandia.com/crystal-healing/crystal-properties-and-uses
