Top 3 Beads You Should Get For Your Jewelry Making Needs

Introduction

Welcome to the world of beads! As you can probably guess, I’m a bead-lover myself. I’ve been making jewelry for about 25 years now, and in that time I’ve tried every type of bead you can imagine. In this post, I’ll share with you my top 3 types of beads and why they’re so great.

1.) Glass Beads

Glass beads are popular because they come in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors. They can be used alone or mixed with other materials like metal beads. The most common glass bead you will find is the round shape but there are also fluted rounds, square, oval and triangular shapes available.

Glass beads are made from molten glass that has been shaped into small beads by hand or on a machine using special dies (the tool for cutting glass). Glass is an ancient material that has been used for thousands of years as an adornment for jewelry making because it comes in so many beautiful colors and finishes.

2.) Crystal Beads

Crystal beads are made from small pieces of crystals. They can come in many shapes and styles, including flat-cut rounds, faceted rounds, and starbursts.

Crystal beads also come in different colors; these include clear crystal which is transparent and colorless (like glass), as well as amethyst which is purple; citrine which is yellowish orange; rose quartz which is pinkish red; topaz which is golden-brown; peridot with a green color (the birthstone for August); smoky quartz with gray flecks in it, etc.

These beads are very popular because they add sparkle to any piece of jewelry you put them on! You can use crystal beads on chains or necklaces or even earrings if you want to add some extra glitz to your outfit! Crystal stones may be confused with glass beads because they both look similar when viewed through the naked eye – however there are some differences between them: while glass will show scratches after years of wearing your piece of jewelry around town (however long that might take), crystals will not get scuffed up over time because they’re harder than regular glass material used in making everyday objects like cups/jars/plates etcetera.”

3.) Stone Beads

Stone beads are typically made from gemstones, wood, or other natural materials. They are usually harder than wooden beads and are more durable. However, stone beads are also heavier than glass or crystal beadsβ€”so you may need to compensate for that by using larger spacers between them on your necklace or bracelet.

Stone beads can be expensive if you’re buying the real thingβ€”but there’s a lot of fake stone out there too! If you’re looking for something inexpensive with a similar look to real stones (without all the hassle of care), try acrylic instead.

Glass Beads

Glass beads are the most common type of bead used in jewelry making because they come in a variety of colors and shapes, which can be combined to create unique pieces. Glass beads are made from molten glass that is shaped by hand or by using machines. These beads can be found at any craft store or online marketplaces such as Etsy or eBay for reasonable prices compared to other materials like gems or crystals which may not be affordable for everyone’s budget needs so it’s important to choose wisely before purchasing any kind of material whether it be something simple like a piece of wood (unless you’re planning on making wood into art), metal bars/wire etc., all the way up till precious metals such as gold jewelry pieces; there will always be some sort of cost associated with these materials but hopefully after reading this post you’ll know what kinds work best depending on what kind
