Open Me! How to Remove an Evil Eye Bracelet

Step 1. Grab your tools

  • Grab your tools. You’ll need a pair of pliers, scissors, string or dental floss, beads and an evil eye bracelet (obviously).
  • Place the bracelet on a towel so that if it breaks open while you’re working with it, you don’t lose any precious stones! Now start cutting off the above-mentioned strings that are keeping your bracelet closed. You can use either scissors or pliers for this part — whichever works best for you! The goal is to remove enough of the string to make room for your hands when they go inside again later.
  • Once all of these are cut away from around the opening/clasp area (and left in place), use one hand to hold both sides together firmly while using another tool (like tweezers) to pick out any remaining pieces from inside there where they might be stuck up against each other preventing full closure again after taking apart completely.

Step 2. Transfer the bracelet to one hand

In order to open your bracelet, you should transfer it from one hand to the other. The bracelet should always be in your non-dominant hand when opening and closing it. If you are right-handed, this means that the bracelet will be in your left hand; if you are left-handed, it will be in your right hand. You can hold onto this wrist with the opposite hand while doing so (as an extra precaution).

Step 3. Push the clasp upward toward the string

Now you’re ready to open the clasp. You may find that it’s easier if you grab the pliers and use them to push in on the clasp from above, but if you’re feeling brave enough and have strong hands, try just using your fingers. Either way, just push down hard until you hear a click or feel resistance.

The bracelet will now be open and ready to remove! If any of these steps were difficult for you, remember that it is okay if some of your evil eye braclets break; they are made of tough materials that can withstand some abuse!

Step 4. Bend the bracelet in half with your other hand, until it snaps

Bend the bracelet in half with your other hand, until it snaps. Again, be careful not to snap or break the metal. If you have an extra pair of hands, ask for help bending and snapping the bracelet so that you don’t hurt yourself! If you don’t have help, bend it over a table or other sturdy surface so that if it were to break while bending, it would break on something hard instead of on your skin.

Step 5. Use the pliers to pull apart the ends of the bead that connects the bracelet

Now that you’ve got those two beads separated, you can use the pliers to pull apart the ends of the bead that connects the bracelet. There’s a small hole in this part of the bead where you will be able to pull out your string. Pulling it apart will release your string and allow you to remove your bracelet altogether!

Good luck!
