This one is a bit of an advanced project, but we have a feeling you won’t have any trouble pulling off the beautiful, beaded bracelet. You can make it in less than an hour and with just three materials:

  • Beads (you can use any color of your choice)
  • Thread and needle to sew the beads on
  • Scissors

First, take two strands of thread and tie them together at one end. Leaving about 3 inches from the knot, start sewing your beads on in any pattern you want! When you reach the end of your thread (leaving about 6 inches from where it’s tied), knot the thread again so that there isn’t any extra hanging around. That’s all there is to making this gorgeous accessory for yourself or whoever else needs some help sprucing up their wardrobe!

Materials

A set of blue and red beads, enough to make the desired bracelet length. The number of beads depends on the size of your wrist or arm. You can also choose to use other colors like green, yellow or purple depending on your wedding theme.

Wire Scissors

1. Cut about a foot of wire for your bracelet. Be sure the entire length is long enough to wrap around your wrist.

  • Cut about a foot of wire for your bracelet. Be sure the entire length is long enough to wrap around your wrist. You can use any kind of wire you want, but we prefer something thin and flexible like fishing line or thread.
  • Tie a knot in one end of your wire, leaving about an inch on each side so you have something to hold onto while making loops around beads later on in this tutorial!

2. Thread the beads onto the wire in any pattern you like. We alternated between blue and red beads for this design.

You can use as many or as few beads as you like for your bracelet. You’ll need about one bead per inch of wire. This will give you a fairly thick bracelet and makes it easy to thread on the wrist. If you want to make a thinner bracelet, use fewer beads so that the wire isn’t too difficult to work with.

To thread your beads onto the wire, simply string them on one-by-one using a needle or other tool that will help push each bead down onto the wire (see our “How To” section below). When finished, secure both ends with crimp tubes and cut off any excess material at both ends of your necklace so that they are flush against each other.

3. Fasten the bracelet to your wrist by wrapping the wire ends around each other, as shown below.

Once you have a nice loop formed, make sure it’s tight enough to stay on your wrist. If you’re worried about the bracelet falling off, use a small pair of pliers or wire cutters to gently squeeze the ends together.

4. Snip off any excess wire with scissors and you’re done! Takeaway: Beaded bracelets are surprisingly easy to make and they can look really gorgeous!
