Gather Supplies
Before you begin cleaning your tennis bracelet, you’ll need to gather a few supplies. You’ll need a soft bristle brush, warm water in a bowl, mild dishwashing liquid, and a soft towel. It’s also helpful to have some sort of jewelry polishing cloth or similar item on hand (you can find these at most department stores).
Preparing the Bracelet
- Remove the clasp from the bracelet, and place it in a cup with dish soap and water.
- Remove the diamonds from your bracelet, using tweezers to pull them out.
- Place all of your diamonds into a second cup with dish soap and water so they can soak while you clean the rest of your bracelet.
- Rinse your whole bracelet in warm water to remove any dirt or grime that might be on it before putting any liquid cleaners on it (this will keep any unwanted stains off).

If you have an ultrasonic cleaner, place the diamonds in the basket or tray. Place about four inches of water in the bottom of your machine and set it to its highest setting. Run for three to five minutes, then rinse in warm water before drying with a soft cloth. Dry your bracelet thoroughly before putting it back into its setting (sometimes this is done by hand).
Washing the Diamonds by Hand
The second step in caring for your diamond tennis bracelet is washing the diamonds by hand. To do this, you need to first remove all of the diamonds from the bracelet and place them in a bowl with warm water that has been mixed with some dishwashing liquid or gentle detergent.
- Use only cold water when rinsing off your jewelry. Hot water can cause damage to stones and metal as well as injure yourself if you happen to get splashed by one of these “hot” fluids.*
You want to make sure that you are using a very soft cloth or hand towel when drying off each diamond after washing it. You don’t want anything too abrasive because it could cause scratches on both sides of the stone (both inside and out). Also be careful not to use chemicals or detergents on any part of your diamond tennis bracelet as these harsh substances could dull its luster over time.*

- You should clean your jewelry regularly, especially if you wear it everyday or go swimming with it on. This will keep dust and dirt from getting inside the stones and causing damage to the metal holding them in place. It’s also important to make sure that any moisture left behind is dried before putting away your bracelet so that mold won’t start growing inside the gems or prongs that hold them in place!
- The best way to clean this type of piece is with hot soapy water, but be careful not to get any soap into the clasp area where there may be some corrosion underneath (these areas are usually covered up by small pieces of metal). If necessary, use a soft brush like an old toothbrush around any parts that have lost their luster – especially around edges where oxidation might occur over time due to exposure from air flow/wear & tear during normal use conditions such as daily wear during regular activities like showering while wearing makeup etc…
